Who we are
Fishes & Loaves Cooperative Ministries ("FLCM") is a non-profit organization located in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The Organization provides food services for those in need in the greater Hazelwood neighborhood and surrounding Pittsburgh area.
The MISSION of FLCM is to bring fresh, healthy food into the Greater Hazelwood community at reasonable prices and to meet the need for fresh foods, healthy options, and social support in an urban food desert.
our projects
Meals on Wheels - Seniors, food insecure and/or home-bound residents of Hazelwood, Greenfield, The Run, Glen-Hazel and part of Greenfield are eligible to receive Meals on Wheels. Consumers receive a bagged lunch and microwaveable dinner every weekday.
Congregate Lunch - People living in Greater Hazelwood and surrounding area are welcome to receive a home cooked meal. Free lunches are available weekdays on a Grab-and-Go basis.
Emergency Food - Emergency food boxes are provided to those in extreme food shortage situations in Greater Hazelwood. Boxes contain perishable and non-perishable food items from our current supply.
Hazelwood Food Pantry Distribution - We provide free groceries to pre-registered members of the Community on a monthly basis. Clients are welcome to come to the pantry on the first Saturday of each month at the Spartan Community Center in Hazelwood.
Senior Food Boxes -This program provides healthy USDA commodities to Senior Citizens throughout Hazelwood. This program delivers boxes of food to Seniors who are experiencing economic hardships.
